Associate Material Handler

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences' manufacturing teams make the tools, technologies and devices that help patients worldwide. This Associate Material Handler supports manufacturing and production activities by performing material handling work in line with established procedures and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Receive material requisitions, locate materials in the system, verify lots and pack components onto dispatch carts
• Pack goods for shipment and create pick lists and invoices for outbound shipments, including airway bills, in JDE, TRAX and Forwarder software
• Receive materials from production returns and purchase orders, inspect and count them, check storage availability in JDE and place goods in storage
• Print labels and deliver materials to the transfer area without entering the clean room
• Perform monthly cycle counts and the annual physical inventory count
• Follow work instructions and SOPs, record traceable information on device history records and enter data into JDE or other systems
• Keep the work area tidy and visually inspect storage containers

Required profile

• Secondary education
• Previous warehouse experience and forklift operation
• Experience handling chemicals preferred
• Ability to read, understand and speak English, with good communication skills
• Able to work in a team with minimal supervision and follow detailed work instructions
• Adherence to company rules such as pandemic protocols and environmental health and safety rules

Required skills

• Forklift certification (90 days preferred)
• Basic computer skills; working knowledge of JDE, TRAX and Forwarder preferred
