Associate Professor – Health Sciences (SESLHD Collaboration)

About the role

The University seeks an Associate Professor (Level D) to provide academic and research leadership within the School of Health Sciences. The role focuses on advancing allied health research, education, and clinical translation in partnership with the South‑Eastern Sydney Local Health District.

Key responsibilities

• Lead academic and research activities across allied health disciplines such as Nutrition & Dietetics, Pharmacy, Exercise Physiology and Physiotherapy.
• Develop and deliver research‑focused teaching, curriculum design and student supervision.
• Establish and manage collaborative research initiatives with SESLHD, including an honorary allied health appointment.
• Grow applied and translational research programs aligned with health‑service priorities and secure competitive funding.
• Mentor higher‑degree research students, postdoctoral fellows, early‑career academics and clinicians.
• Contribute to school, faculty and university governance and strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• PhD in an allied health discipline (e.g., dietetics, pharmacy, exercise physiology, physiotherapy).
• Registration with AHPRA or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Nationally recognised research record with success in attracting funding and publishing impactful work.
• Experience leading interdisciplinary collaborations and translating evidence into clinical practice.

• Salary of $193,354 plus 17 % superannuation and annual leave loading.
