Associate Professor (Teaching) – Educational/School Psychology

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Professor (Teaching Track) in Educational/School Psychology to join the Psychology and Child & Human Development Department at the National Institute of Education, Singapore. The position is non‑tenure‑track and focuses on delivering high‑quality teaching across undergraduate, graduate and professional programmes, as well as contributing to the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and continuously improve courses at undergraduate, graduate and professional development levels.
• Conduct research that informs educational practice and policy, particularly in teaching and learning.
• Develop an active research programme and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Establish collaborations with local and international academic and professional communities.
• Contribute to curriculum development, programme leadership and institutional initiatives.
• Undertake departmental administrative duties and service.
• Share expertise through seminars, workshops and collaborative platforms.

Required profile

• PhD in psychology or a closely related field with a specialization in educational or school psychology.
• Minimum of four years of demonstrated excellence in teaching, including innovative approaches and use of educational technology.
• Eligibility for registration or current registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
