About the role

Raffles Girls’ School seeks a dedicated Education Officer to teach Chemistry and Physics to high‑ability learners. You will join a collaborative community focused on innovative curriculum design and holistic student development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver forward‑looking Chemistry and Physics curricula that encourage interdisciplinary connections.
• Implement innovative teaching approaches that foster inquiry, leadership, and critical thinking.
• Mentor and coach students, acting as a role model and facilitator of learning.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a cohesive, student‑centred learning environment.
• Participate in professional development activities and contribute to school‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong belief in nurturing the whole child and confidence in every student’s ability to learn.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline from a recognised university.
• Post‑Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) preferred.
• Deep subject knowledge in Chemistry and/or Physics and openness to interdisciplinary teaching.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
