Instructor Associate – Vocational Training Support

About the role

The Instructor Associate supports vocational training programs for individuals with special needs, ensuring daily activities run smoothly and trainees receive hands‑on guidance. Working closely with lead instructors, the role blends operational support with classroom assistance in a structured learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead instructor with daily operational tasks such as sorting, cleaning, packing and assembling.
• Provide step‑by‑step guidance and hands‑on supervision to trainees, reinforcing social and soft skills.
• Adapt work tasks and teaching materials so that all trainees, including persons with intellectual disabilities, can participate effectively.
• Maintain a safe, organized learning environment and ensure trainees meet work expectations and deadlines.
• Cover for instructors in other classes, support special events, pop‑up booths and vocational training initiatives.
• Collaborate with instructors, vocational trainers and external partners to coordinate work orders and deliverables.
• Maintain attendance, allowance and progress tracking records and assist in reporting on performance and output quality.

Required profile

• Minimum G.C.E. N Level qualification.
• Passion for improving the lives of people with special needs.
• Experience or willingness to work with individuals with chronic conditions, special needs or mental illness.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to identify trainee needs and create action plans.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work confidentially within diverse teams and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to cover other classes and take on ad‑hoc tasks.
