Automation and DevSecOps Engineer 1

About the role

BCS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS) and part of the NETS Group, manages and operates clearing and payment infrastructure for the Singapore Automated Clearing House, including FAST, Inter-bank GIRO, Cheque Truncation System, PayNow and SGQR. The Technology Division maintains and supports these applications and their infrastructure. BCS is looking for an experienced, hands-on Automation and DevSecOps Engineer to design, build and operate secure, scalable and automated software delivery pipelines and platform operations, working with platform, operations, application and cross-functional teams on both BAU operations and project-based work.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, security scanning, packaging and deployment across environments.
• Develop reusable pipeline templates and embed security controls such as SAST (Fortify), code quality and secrets scanning (SonarQube) and software composition analysis (Nexus).
• Manage artifacts and dependencies in JFrog Artifactory and Sonatype Nexus, and use Terraform to provision cloud infrastructure.
• Use AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.) and automate security validations, policy enforcement and audit evidence collection.
• Reduce operational toil by automating manual tasks, implementing logging, monitoring and alerting, and applying IaC and configuration-driven automation principles.
• Identify and prototype AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort, and promote responsible use of AI across teams.
• Collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, application teams and auditors, and prepare documentation, SOPs and knowledge bases.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, automation or a related role.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication, ownership and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• CI/CD tools: Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, JFrog, Sonatype Nexus, SonarQube, Fortify, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodePipeline.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud environments and scripting with Python and Unix shell scripts.
• Understanding of Kubernetes or microservices containerization.
• Preferred certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Professional in Python Programming, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible.
