About the role
The NETS Group, a payments services group operating Singapore's national debit scheme, is hiring a Backend Developer in Braddell. The role covers backend systems for international payment gateway integrations and the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze project requirements and contribute to functional and technical designs.
- Develop backend systems for international payment gateway integrations such as Visa, Mastercard, Amex and UPI.
- Support migration and implementation to Base24-eps on Linux RHEL or cloud, replacing legacy systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams including QA, frontend and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with vendors, schemes and banks under the guidance of technical leads.
- Build solutions in line with PCI-DSS, payment security standards and card scheme requirements.
- Optimize performance and reliability of switching systems and backend services.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of backend development experience, focused on payment systems and switching platforms.
Required skills
- Strong experience with OpenStack RHEL and AWS Cloud.
- C++, Korn shell scripting and Linux-based development.
- PostgreSQL database.
- IBM MQ middleware and Base24-eps are advantageous.
