Biotechnologist Trainee (Attach and Train Programme)

About the role

GSK's Attach and Train Programme (AnT) is a 15-month on-the-job training programme for a Biotechnologist in Singapore's biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. It builds a pipeline of skilled professionals and offers hands-on experience, industry-relevant skills and mentorship. Applications are open to fresh graduates and mid-career individuals, but only Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents are considered.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in the preparation, operation and completion of process stages to produce bulk drug substances within set timing and quality standards.
• Keep facilities in good order in line with cGMP, safety and environmental requirements.
• Follow cGMP and safety requirements and maintain 5S and good housekeeping.
• Support utilities sampling and environmental monitoring of cleanrooms.
• Support batch processing and related equipment such as washing cabinets, autoclaves, fermenters, harvest vessels and microfluidizers.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as magnetic stirrers, viscometers, pH meters, conductivity meters, turbidity meters and osmometers.

Required profile

• Degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or a relevant field (NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma also accepted).
• No prior experience needed; candidates without experience but with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with shifting demand and with a continuous improvement mindset.
