Business Controller – Finance (Strategic M&A)

About the role

The Business Controller will partner with the CFO to drive the Group’s strategic finance agenda, focusing on M&A, investment evaluation and performance management. You will provide rigorous financial analysis, governance oversight and clear recommendations to support high‑impact commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CFO in assessing M&A opportunities, joint ventures, partnerships and new business models.
• Conduct financial due diligence, build and review financial models, valuation and scenario analyses.
• Prepare investment papers, management decks and Board presentations for major transactions.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to business units, challenging assumptions and ensuring investment discipline.
• Oversee finance‑related governance, control gaps, risk areas and compliance with internal policies.
• Coordinate internal audit reviews, remediation plans and follow‑up actions.
• Manage treasury aspects of strategic investments, including cash‑flow impact and funding requirements.
• Develop organisational capability in business case preparation, modelling and post‑investment review.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA, CPA or CFA preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, transaction advisory or strategic finance.
• Proven track record in valuation, financial due diligence and investment evaluation.
• Strong business acumen and ability to link financial analysis with commercial strategy.
• Excellent written communication for management and Board papers.
