Business Development Engineer

About the role

The Business Development Engineer will support the growth of our semiconductor business in Singapore by driving sales and building strong customer relationships. This entry‑level position offers exposure to a Japanese multinational environment and opportunities for overseas travel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, sales reports and forecasts to support business growth.
• Analyse market trends and produce regular sales and market analysis reports for management decision‑making.
• Secure customer orders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery.
• Build and sustain long‑term customer relationships to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
• Service existing accounts and identify new business opportunities to expand market presence.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• 1‑2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a sales or business development capacity.
• Willingness to travel overseas as required.

Required skills

• Understanding of mechanical or mechatronics engineering principles.
