Business Development Manager

About the role

LexisNexis Risk Solutions, part of RELX, is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager. The role focuses on achieving revenue targets and driving business growth through effective sales strategies, working with a Field Account Manager and Overlay Sales Specialists. You will build a sales strategy that creates pipeline and drives incremental growth while retaining an existing book of accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve revenue targets and drive business growth through effective sales strategies.
• Convert leads to opportunities and maintain accounts accurately and on time.
• Log customer activity and communications fully in the CRM system.
• Submit monthly forecast reports and regularly update the sales pipeline.
• Prospect within the assigned territory to build and sustain a strong pipeline.
• Develop and manage territory business plans covering new logos, cross-selling, upselling and renewals.
• Guide prospects through the sales cycle to contract and close, collaborating with presales and specialist teams as needed.
• Support customers through onboarding and implementation with the Field Account Manager, managing the ongoing revenue lifecycle.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in business development and account management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to new business opportunities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
