Chief Financial Officer / VP Finance – AI‑Focused Data Centre

About the role

This is a senior finance leadership position for a high‑growth, private‑equity backed AI data‑centre developer operating across key Asian markets. The role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for building the finance function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own the full finance function – accounting, reporting, controls, treasury, tax and multi‑jurisdiction compliance across Asia.
• Establish accounting policies, chart of accounts, ERP systems and audit frameworks suitable for a development‑stage, PE‑backed platform.
• Manage multi‑entity consolidation, month‑end close and management reporting for Asian markets.
• Partner with the CEO and fund partners on financial planning, capex governance and investor reporting.
• Oversee statutory compliance, tax structuring and regulatory filings in Singapore and regional jurisdictions.
• Support fundraising, asset‑level financial modelling and limited partner reporting as the platform matures.
• Build and develop the finance team as the business scales.

Required profile

• CPA/CA qualification, preferably with a Big Four audit background.
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, currently at VP Finance, Finance Director or Regional Controller level.
• Strong accounting and controllership background – multi‑entity consolidation, IFRS, audit management.
• Experience in data‑centre, digital infrastructure, real assets or other capital‑intensive sectors.
• Hands‑on experience managing finance operations across multiple APAC markets; Singapore residency essential, exposure to Malaysia, Japan or Korea a plus.
• Comfortable building finance processes from scratch in a fast‑moving environment.
• Business‑level Mandarin preferred.
