Competitive Analyst

About the role

This role carries out comprehensive market research and competitive intelligence projects, including primary and customer research. It maintains organized databases, provides market intelligence, monitors industry trends and leads the preparation and presentation of project reports with insights and recommendations. The position is full time, based in Singapore, with travel of 25%.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end market research and competitive intelligence projects, including primary and customer research.
• Maintain organized databases, infrastructure and repositories of research data, ensuring accuracy and security.
• Provide market intelligence such as market size analysis and industry trends to support marketing planning and development.
• Monitor and develop reports on market trends and interpret industry reports for each business unit and solutions group.
• Track program metrics against benchmarks and oversee consolidation of market research expenditure requests.
• Oversee primary and secondary data collection, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Prepare and present reports summarizing market and consumer research findings, insights and recommendations.
• Lead moderate to high complexity projects, deliver professionally written reports and support operational and strategic plans.

Required profile

• Four-year or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related discipline, or commensurate experience.
• Typically 4-7 years of experience, preferably in marketing, project management or a related field; an advanced degree with 3-5 years of experience is also acceptable.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently and lead moderate to high complexity projects.
