Corporate Lawyer – Associate to Salary Partner

About the role

We are looking for a motivated, Singapore‑qualified lawyer to join our expanding corporate team. The role involves handling a broad range of corporate and cross‑border matters across ASEAN, including M&A, joint ventures and other commercial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on corporate and commercial transactions such as mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on cross‑border investments and ensure regulatory compliance in ASEAN jurisdictions.
• Assist with due‑diligence reviews and prepare transaction documentation.
• Liaise with Japanese corporate clients and regional counsel to manage deals effectively.
• Collaborate with internal lawyers and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare client memos, reports or presentations.
• Support contentious matters as required.

Required profile

• Admission to the Singapore Bar.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in corporate, M&A or cross‑border transactions.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore and ASEAN corporate law and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Self‑motivated, responsible and able to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Japanese is a strong advantage.
