Criminal Law Associate / Senior Associate (Singapore)

About the role

We are partnering with an award‑winning Singapore law firm to hire a Criminal Law Associate or Senior Associate. This position offers extensive exposure to high‑quality criminal defence, investigations, advocacy and advisory work within a growing practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage criminal cases from inception through resolution, including court appearances in State Courts and High Court.
• Advise clients on criminal law strategy and draft legal submissions, affidavits, mitigation pleas, written arguments and opinions.
• Conduct legal research, prepare case strategies and liaise with clients, prosecutors and other stakeholders.
• Maintain client files, ensure compliance with court timelines and procedural requirements.

Required profile

• Recognised law degree and admission to practice in Singapore.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in criminal litigation at a reputable Singapore firm.
• Experience handling criminal defence, investigations, regulatory offences or white‑collar crime.
• Strong advocacy, drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Excellent courtroom presence, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.
