Cyber Incident Response Engineer (V.I.E) – Singapore

About the role

You will join a major international banking client’s cybersecurity team in Singapore, focusing on IT Production Security Investigation & Incident Response. Working in a fast‑evolving environment, you will help strengthen the SOC’s detection capabilities and manage cyber incidents across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design and implement security use cases based on real‑world attack scenarios and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Identify emerging threats and propose detection and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct threat‑hunting activities and enhance the 24/7 SOC detection capabilities.
• Respond to security incidents, assess impact and severity, and coordinate remediation until closure.
• Identify recurring issues and improve SOC processes and playbooks.
• Collaborate with global, regional and local stakeholders to ensure operational readiness.
• Support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and participate in reporting and audit activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity incident response, detection engineering or security use‑case development.
• Proven experience in incident response, threat hunting and security event analysis.
• Fluent in English; French is a strong advantage.
• Proactive, autonomous and able to work effectively in complex international environments.

Required skills

• SIEM solutions (e.g., ELK – Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) or similar tools.
• Linux environments (RedHat, Ubuntu).
• Scripting/programming languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash; SQL is a plus.
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Ability to interpret security logs and translate them into detection use cases.
