Data Centre Project Management Leader (AME)

About the role

Carrier is looking for a Data Centre Project Management Leader to oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale cooling solution deployments, from contract award to commissioning and site handover. You will lead a team of project managers and engineers so that Thermal systems meet the technical requirements of global hyperscale and colocation data centre clients, and set internal project management standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct multi-million-dollar thermal management projects (chillers, airside, CDU and controls) on time, within budget and to specification, working in a matrix structure with service, commissioning, logistics, sales and operations teams.
• Ensure projects comply with global safety, environmental and mission-critical standards.
• Document and implement the Datacentre Project Management Playbook, from contract award to handover, with repeatable processes.
• Set and track operational and financial KPIs such as margin variance, on-time delivery and first-pass yield.
• Oversee Level 1-5 commissioning, including chiller integration with the client's BMS and DCIM platforms.
• Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and apply Lean Project Management techniques.
• Use project data to find bottlenecks in supply chain and site installation, and manage change orders and long-lead logistics.
• Act as the main interface with senior stakeholders, consultants and general contractors, and escalate complex issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 12+ years in HVAC/industrial project management, with 3+ years in data centres.
• PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.
• Comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
