About the role
The Deputy Director (Defence Relations – DIS) will shape and execute engagement strategies for the Digital and Intelligence Service with foreign partners and industry stakeholders in the digital arena. This senior position requires a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate complex international defence environments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and review Defence Relations strategies for collaborations with foreign counterparts and industry players.
- Design and implement Defence Relations plans for stakeholder engagements, aligning with DIS objectives.
- Lead the preparation and execution of Defence Relations engagements, overseeing protocol arrangements and coordination.
- Monitor the operational environment to anticipate changes and ensure successful delivery of engagement activities.
Required profile
- Degree in a social science discipline such as Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Sociology or Geography.
- At least 15 years of experience in international or defence relations.
- Strong interpersonal and managerial capabilities.
- Proficiency in a foreign language is advantageous.
