Director, Energy Sector, Asia Pacific

About the role

ING Wholesale Banking is seeking a senior Director for its Energy Sector in the Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore. The role will lead the coverage of conventional and renewable power generation, transport, storage and emerging zero‑carbon solutions, driving business growth across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and win new client relationships within the Energy sector, focusing on renewables and power.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans in collaboration with product partners.
• Lead multi‑product, cross‑border deal teams for credit, financial markets, transaction services and debt capital markets.
• Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, regulatory developments and energy transition dynamics.
• Oversee preparation of pitch books, financing proposals and advisory mandates.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in wholesale banking or investment banking covering the Energy sector.
• Proven ability to build and manage senior / C‑suite relationships.
• Track record of leading complex, multi‑product transactions across borders.
• Self‑starter with the capacity to work independently and coordinate with APAC and global teams.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of credit, loan structuring, debt capital markets and transaction services.
• Expertise in energy industry fundamentals, including renewables, power generation and emerging zero‑carbon technologies.
