Director / Senior Director – Attractions Projects

About the role

The Director/Senior Director of Attractions Projects leads the end‑to‑end delivery of theme‑park attractions, rides and entertainment experiences. This senior position oversees multidisciplinary teams, coordinates with ride manufacturers, architects and engineers, and ensures projects meet safety, schedule, budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead attraction projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, contracts and resource allocation.
• Coordinate ride system integration, show systems, themed environments and guest‑flow requirements.
• Oversee design reviews and ensure compliance with operational, technical and safety standards.
• Monitor construction progress, resolve technical or site issues, and support refurbishment and upgrades.
• Liaise with internal departments (operations, maintenance, safety, legal, finance, creative) and external partners (vendors, consultants, authorities).
• Present updates, risk assessments and milestone reports to senior management.
• Ensure HSE compliance, conduct risk reviews and monitor contractor safety performance.
• Track expenditures, support tender evaluations, contract negotiations and change management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience delivering large‑scale attractions, theme‑park or entertainment projects.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and complex stakeholder environments.
