Equipment Engineer – Semiconductor Fab

About the role

GlobalFoundries is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support the readiness of critical fab equipment. You will work directly in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, ensuring that tools operate reliably and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support equipment readiness as an individual contributor.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Execute maintenance and tool support activities to minimize downtime.
• Upgrade equipment and drive improvement projects.
• Analyze technical charts and monitor equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, health, and security requirements.
• Collaborate on additional projects and assignments as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and solve technical problems.
• Experience or internship in equipment engineering, wafer fab, or clean‑room environments is preferred.
• Hands‑on exposure to preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
