About the role
SUSS Academy, part of Singapore University of Social Sciences, is looking for a temporary Event Assistant to support the event in charge so that workshops and events run smoothly and conclude on time. The role covers on-site tasks such as setup, registration and participant management.
Key responsibilities
- Handle venue setup, registration and attendance taking, act as usher, and collect evaluation and feedback forms
- Make sure food and refreshments are ready on time and cleared by the caterer at the end of the workshop
- Collect stationery (markers, pens, tent cards, etc.), Wi-Fi details and tidy the classroom before leaving
- Manage online sessions if required
- Call IT or facilities for on-site issues and refer participants' queries to course administration for follow-up
Required profile
- Good interpersonal skills, responsible and meticulous
- Team-oriented and able to work independently, effectively and efficiently under tight schedules
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and PDF editing
- Proficiency with MS Teams and Zoom
