Event Management Consultant (B2B)

About the role

PwC is looking for a highly motivated B2B event management consultant to join its Clients and Markets team, which sits within the Marketing and Communications department. The role is hands-on and tactical, reporting to the Events Lead, and focuses on delivering impactful and memorable B2B client experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute physical, hybrid and virtual events such as conferences, webinars, seminars and trade shows involving government and industry leaders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders so that event objectives align with business goals.
• Manage event budgets and negotiate vendor contracts while ensuring high-quality experiences, under the supervision of the Events Lead.
• Track and manage event inventory, supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate event setup, including venue selection, catering and AV support for events and webinars.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Event Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience planning and executing events, preferably in a professional services or B2B environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Flexible approach to fluctuating work volumes and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Familiarity with webinar platforms such as Webex, PGI GlobalMeet and Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledge of marketing automation and business applications such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Envoy.
• Strong organisation, time management and follow-up skills.
