Senior Manager, Media Relations & Leadership Visibility

About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Manager for its Global Strategic Communications, Change, Media Relations and Leadership Visibility function. The role advances PwC's presence in the marketplace through proactive media relations, thought leadership promotion and executive visibility initiatives, working across Global Communications to strengthen relationships with key media and amplify the firm's insights through earned channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute media relations strategies aligned with firm priorities and thought leadership agendas, building relationships with journalists, editors, producers and influencers across business, technology, trade and global business media
• Position PwC experts and leaders in relevant media conversations and news cycles, partnering with territory communications teams
• Develop earned media strategies for flagship research, surveys and reports, and collaborate with subject matter experts to turn complex topics into compelling narratives
• Support the external positioning of priority leaders through media opportunities, speaking engagements and interview preparation
• Draft media materials such as press releases, pitches, briefing documents, Q&As and talking points, and manage media inquiries
• Act as a trusted communications partner to executives and business leaders, coordinating with Executive Communications, Social Media, Marketing and Thought Leadership teams
• Coach and mentor junior communications professionals, provide quality control on media materials and support onboarding and professional development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in media relations, corporate communications or public relations
• Proven track record of successful media relations and thought leadership campaigns, including high-profile earned media coverage
• Strong network of media contacts and deep understanding of business, technology, trade and corporate media
• Experience supporting senior executives and leadership positioning initiatives
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects, influence senior stakeholders and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced, global environment
