Experience & Interface Designer (Fixed-Term)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is hiring an Experience & Interface Designer for its Developer Productivity & Services (DPS) department. The designer supports the Central Product Marketplace (CPM) initiative and helps deliver quality across upcoming milestones. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in the Punggol Digital District.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run usability testing and user research with the development team, turning findings into actionable design insights.
• Create and iterate UI designs and end-to-end workflows using AI-assisted design tools, keeping consistency with design systems and accessibility standards.
• Produce design specifications, annotated wireframes and prototypes for handoff to developers.
• Work with project teams and product owners to gather requirements, present concepts and incorporate feedback.
• Review and update design components, style guides and pattern libraries.
• Support visual assets, presentation decks and communication materials.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Design, Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant design experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and good written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

Required skills

• UI/UX design principles and tools such as Figma.
• Usability testing and wireframing/prototyping.
• Preferred: design systems, AI-assisted design tools, public sector digital service standards and accessibility guidelines.
