Finance Business Partner (FP&A) – Cloud Services

About the role

BytePlus, the technology‑driven business unit of ByteDance, is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join its Finance BP team. You will work closely with business and strategy teams to deliver financial solutions that support new initiatives and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and strategy teams to provide optimized financial advice and solutions.
• Prepare, review and track managerial budgets, rolling forecasts and financial performance.
• Partner with the Platform team to design and refine finance processes for new business initiatives.
• Review non‑standard deals, contracts and agreements, assessing risk in line with accounting policy.
• Evaluate finance‑related processes such as quotations, coupons and billing adjustments.
• Define revenue recognition rules for various scenarios and assess cloud‑product metering and billing.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for revenue and accounts receivable as part of month‑end close.
• Control budgets, review project applications, and approve contracts, payments and procurement from a financial perspective.
• Lead ad‑hoc projects and analyses focused on revenue accounting and order‑to‑cash cycles.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, or audit/advisory at a professional services firm.
• Strong expertise in revenue accounting, accounts receivable management and order‑to‑cash processes.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with diverse business partners.
• Fluent Mandarin for regular communication with Chinese stakeholders.
• Experience reviewing contracts, assessing non‑standard deals, or designing finance processes in a technology environment.
