GenAI Big Data Engineer (Financial Services) Manager

About the role

EY's Financial Services Consulting practice, within its Data and Analytics team, is hiring a GenAI Big Data Engineer manager. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to support clients on big data initiatives that generate actionable insights, taking responsibility in challenging engagements and gaining exposure to clients across Singapore and the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in large-scale client engagements and contribute to, or lead, the delivery of innovative big data solutions.
• Understand business and technical requirements, provide subject matter expertise and implement big data engineering techniques.
• Carry out data discovery, perform root cause analysis and recommend fixes for data quality issues.
• Prioritize and complete multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience; candidates with more than 9 years may be considered for a Senior Manager position.
• Practical experience handling semi-structured and unstructured data.
• Deep understanding of big data technologies, tools and approaches.
• Ability to deploy, manage and administer Hadoop-based components and applications.
• Experience investigating and handling data quality issues.

Required skills

• Java, Python, C# or C++.
• ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, AWS Glue or Azure Data Factory (hands-on Talend is a plus).
• HiveQL and data ingestion tools such as Kafka, Flume and Sqoop.
• Oozie and ER data modelling.
• Preferred: RDBMS data modelling (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Teradata), BI or statistical analysis tools, and strong communication skills.
