Global Partnership, Head of APAC

About the role

The Head of Global Partnerships for APAC will lead the expansion and management of strategic payment partnerships across the region. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures that local payment capabilities are robust, cost‑effective, and aligned with the company’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, negotiate, and manage key partnerships with local payment institutions, banks, acquirers, wallets, card schemes, and other payment ecosystems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to launch partnership projects internally and make services available to customers.
• Establish a structured partner management framework that drives mutually beneficial and sustainable cooperation.
• Define and confirm localization strategies for priority markets based on corporate objectives.
• Work with legal, compliance, product, technical, and operations teams to set up local entities, obtain licenses, and build channel capabilities.
• Ensure that localization plans are commercially viable and compliant with regional regulations.

Required profile

• More than 15 years of experience in financial services or related channel management, with deep knowledge of the cross‑border payment industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environments across the Asia‑Pacific region.
• Proven ability to lead large, global teams and navigate diverse cultural contexts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior customer executives.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English (reading, writing, speaking).
