Governance Officer – Executive Director (Corporate Strategy)

About the role

The Governance Officer – Executive Director leads the regional governance function, ensuring that the firm’s platform operates within a robust, regulatory‑compliant framework. Reporting to the Head of Governance, the role partners with senior leadership to embed strong governance and risk culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the principal custodian of governance standards, managing the full governance lifecycle from framework design to committee administration and escalation reporting.
• Collaborate with the NAPH Operating Committee Chair to oversee high‑priority regional initiatives and ensure alignment with risk appetite.
• Lead governance reviews, identify gaps, and drive improvements to meet regulatory expectations and group standards.
• Maintain and evolve committee mandates, terms of reference, escalation protocols, and decision‑making authorities.
• Partner with General Counsel, senior management, and business units to reinforce risk‑aware practices and accountability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate governance, risk management, or compliance within a large, multi‑jurisdictional organization.
• Strong strategic agility and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing governance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
