Head of Enterprise Controls

About the role

The Head of Enterprise Controls leads Prudential Financial Assurance's (PFA) enterprise controls framework and governance. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures alignment with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) requirements, group standards, and provides independent oversight alongside Line 2 Risk & Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain PFA policies, delegated authorities, governance forums, decision rights and escalation routes with the CEO and management team.
• Maintain the enterprise controls library and standards in line with MAS expectations and Prudential group standards.
• Act as senior escalation point for governance breaches and control breakdowns, driving triage, issue tracking and systemic remediation.
• Govern outsourced arrangements, including Third‑Party Risk Management, ensuring compliance with MAS Outsourcing Guidelines throughout the lifecycle.
• Own key operational controls across sales, servicing, outsourcing and third‑party distribution, including SOPs, evidence standards and record‑keeping.
• Monitor control performance through metrics, exceptions, attestations, thematic reviews and periodic testing.
• Partner with the CEO and management to simplify and harmonise policies, strengthen controls and tighten reporting discipline.
• Oversee Enterprise Data Governance by defining ownership of critical data elements, embedding data‑quality controls and monitoring data issues.
