About the role
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks a proactive leader to head Faculty Affairs. Reporting to the Chair, the incumbent will manage faculty recruitment, appointments, promotions, onboarding, and space allocation while supporting strategic initiatives across the school.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top‑tier faculty, including Nanyang Assistant Professors.
- Collaborate with school leadership and HR to streamline hiring processes and ensure policy compliance.
- Design and run onboarding programmes for new faculty members.
- Oversee the full faculty lifecycle: appointments, promotions, tenure, and related documentation.
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative faculty culture through engagement initiatives.
- Manage allocation and optimisation of office and research spaces.
- Serve as primary liaison for faculty‑related queries from senior leadership.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field or related discipline.
- Three to five years of experience in higher‑education administration, faculty affairs, or HR.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
