Head of Security Operations & Delivery

About the role

You will be the primary technical leader for the security operations team, taking over after senior leaders depart. The role focuses on modernising delivery with AI‑assisted methods, ensuring high‑quality client outcomes, and building a small group of consultants into specialised security experts.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery quality for VAPT, SOC/managed detection, and risk assessment engagements.
• Redesign workflows to embed AI‑driven reconnaissance, scanning and alert triage.
• Launch and manage a continuous, subscription‑based VAPT service.
• Mentor two junior consultants, defining clear specialisation tracks.
• Serve as senior technical escalation point and sign‑off authority for client findings.
• Partner with Business Development & Client Success on scoping calls and sales technical credibility.
• Make technical hiring decisions for future team growth.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or security operations.
• At least 2 years in a technical lead or team‑lead capacity.
• Recognised offensive security certification (OSCP, OSCE) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Hands‑on experience across web, network and cloud penetration testing and SOC/SIEM operations.
• Proven use of AI/automation tooling in security engagements.
• Ability to translate technical findings into business risk for non‑technical stakeholders.
