Housekeeping Runner

About the role

Raffles Hotel Singapore, a historic 19th-century hotel, is hiring a Housekeeping Runner. The role organises and distributes clean linen and amenities to Rooms and Food and Beverage outlets, ensures timely completion of guest requests and keeps the linen room and work areas tidy.

Key responsibilities

• Check clean linen against local SOPs and reject items that do not meet re-processing standards
• Issue clean linen to outlets, banquets and spa on receipt of soiled linen and requisitions, and record transactions in linen record books, reporting shortages to the Laundry Manager
• Wash and press small items such as cocktail napkins and tray cloths, and wash face towels and cleaning cloths in-house
• Prepare outgoing Rooms and F&B linen for the outsourced laundry company and deliver clean linen to housekeeping pantries
• Deliver and complete guest requests related to housekeeping (excluding suite cleaning) to the Butlers
• Assist in rooms operations (e.g. hanging curtains, delivering ionisers to room attendants) and in laundry/uniform room operations when needed
• Keep the laundry, linen room, pantries and work areas clean and organised, maintain equipment in good working order, and hand over found items to Lost & Found
• Work safely according to WSH policies, adapt to changes, and perform additional duties assigned by managers

Required profile

• Primary school education
• English written and spoken is ideal but not necessary
• Service-oriented, detail-focused, self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure
• Flexible and able to respond positively to change
