IAM Engineer

About the role

BCS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Network for Electronic Transfers (S) and part of the NETS Group, manages and operates clearing and payment infrastructure in Singapore, including FAST, IBG, CTS, PayNow and SGQR. Its IT Security Team protects the security, availability and resilience of BCS systems, and the Identity and Access Management (IAM) unit oversees digital identities and user access permissions. This IAM Engineer position handles access requests, provisioning and onboarding/offboarding, and works 24/7 on standby.

Key responsibilities

• Handle access requests for applications, systems and infrastructure in line with approved policies and procedures.
• Assist with user access provisioning and de-provisioning across systems and applications.
• Support onboarding and offboarding so accounts are set up and removed securely and on time.
• Help monitor and respond to IAM-related service requests and basic incidents.
• Take part in periodic access reviews to confirm users have the right access rights.
• Maintain and update IAM process and access record documentation.
• Work with IT and business stakeholders to troubleshoot simple access issues.
• Support audit and compliance by preparing basic access reports or logs.
• Assist with testing and configuration of IAM tools when required.
• Follow security policies, standards and best practices, and take part in 24/7 standby/on-call support for identity-related incidents.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT Operations or IAM-related roles, preferably in financial institutions or related industries.
• Willingness to work shifts or standby as part of a support rotation.

Required skills

• Understanding of IAM principles, technologies and best practices.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux user administration.
• Experience with IAM solutions and integration (PowerShell, Java, shell scripting, REST).
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy and Jira.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills, and ability to follow procedures accurately.
