Importation Operations Specialist – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Apple’s Pacific Operations team is looking for an Importation Operations Specialist to manage bulk freight import activities across Indonesia and Vietnam. You will ensure smooth import approvals, vendor performance, and compliance while supporting new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily and peak‑event bulk freight (air, ocean, trucking) import operations with third‑party vendors, including approvals, troubleshooting, PR/PO management, billing, and performance monitoring.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for import compliance in Indonesia (Preferential Tariff, TPP, PI, PSI) and Vietnam (VNTA, cultural licenses).
• Coordinate contractual and commercial alignment with vendors in partnership with Procurement.
• Maintain and troubleshoot regulatory documentation and system access for external vendors (certificates, test reports, product specs, Power of Attorney).
• Drive import requirements during New Product Introduction cycles, identifying risks and aligning stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support authority inquiries, audits, and operational reporting.
• Support projects by translating business needs into system setups, proposing enhancements, and participating in User Acceptance Testing.
• Apply AI/ML, generative AI, and intelligent automation to improve import workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or trade compliance.
• Hands‑on import operations experience in Indonesia and/or Vietnam.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• SAP or equivalent ERP system.
• Data analysis tools such as Tableau, Python, or SQL.
