Industry 4.0 Digital Technology Apps Specialist

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is looking for an Industry 4.0 Digital Technology Apps specialist to join one of its largest and most advanced manufacturing greenfield projects in Singapore. You will work directly with Digital Project teams to deploy and support critical applications hosted at the site, including Teamcenter PLM, Solumina MES, machine connectivity and production scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Work daily with operation leaders to gather technical and functional requirements and help with manufacturing ramp-up.
• Provide second-level production support to end users.
• Keep the applications up to date and compliant, resolve vulnerabilities and deploy new releases.
• Ensure integrations between the tools run smoothly and coordinate with remote senior app and infrastructure administrators in India or the US for critical upgrades and major incidents.
• Willingness to work off hours for planned outages and system maintenance.
• Work with local operations specialists to configure and integrate the tools so manufacturing processes are more efficient.

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering or technology discipline; typically a university degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
• 3 years of system administration experience preferred.
• English literate, spoken and written.
• Able to obtain and apply technical knowledge of system infrastructure, ERP and MES systems.

Required skills

• Fluent Linux: deploying, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting server-side applications, ensuring availability, performance and security through environment configuration, log analysis and task automation.
• Containerized applications: packaging software for portable deployment and managing containerized workloads at scale with Kubernetes.
• Teamcenter administration: installation, infrastructure optimization, patch deployment, system monitoring, database integration and troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Oracle database administration, experience as administrator or super-user of an MES such as Solumina, and experience in Industry 4.0 environments within large corporations.
