Senior Business Analyst (Data Domain) - AVP

About the role

Deutsche Bank Private Bank is looking for a Senior Business Analyst (AVP) in the Data Domain, based in Singapore. The analyst sits in the Transformation and Delivery organisation and bridges business stakeholders, subject matter experts, data teams and technology delivery teams. The role starts with data domain initiatives such as data-driven decision making, operational reporting, process automation and platform transformation, then expands to client lifecycle management, regulatory change, AI-enabled solutions and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements, and turn them into functional specifications
• Run requirements workshops, write user stories, process maps, use cases and acceptance criteria, and maintain traceability
• Analyse datasets, write and run SQL queries, and support data mapping, source-to-target analysis and data quality checks
• Support reporting, dashboards and analytics initiatives
• Analyse current and future state workflows, identify automation opportunities and support change adoption
• Define test scenarios, support SIT, integration testing and UAT, and coordinate defect triage
• Prepare business readiness materials, training and handover, and support post-go-live monitoring
• Facilitate decisions, present findings to stakeholders and build consensus

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or similar in financial services
• Experience in private banking, wealth management, KYC, client lifecycle management or regulatory change
• Experience with data governance, reporting, analytics or data transformation programmes
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Required skills

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Agile delivery experience
• Tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Power BI or Tableau
• Understanding of data quality management and data controls
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly and ethically
