Manager, Product Management - Hitachi iQ and AI Solutions

About the role

Hitachi Vantara is looking for a Manager of Product Management to own the product strategy for its data-and-AI portfolio, Hitachi iQ (the AI infrastructure and AI Factory hardware and software platform). This is a high-visibility role reporting into product leadership, responsible for turning enterprise AI and unstructured-data trends into a coherent, sellable product line. The role works cross-functionally with engineering, sales and partner teams under the "One Hitachi" model.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, roadmap and business case for Hitachi iQ
• Drive NVIDIA and broader ecosystem certification strategy (NCS, AIDP, STX, CMX-class programs)
• Build and defend competitive positioning against AI infrastructure, storage and data-platform competitors
• Define and prioritize AI use cases (RAG, fine-tuning, inferencing, agentic workflows) and work with engineering to support them
• Act as executive spokesperson for the portfolio in partner councils, technical advisory forums, customer briefings and internal strategy reviews
• Build the business case for pricing, packaging and lifecycle decisions, including margin and cost-structure tradeoffs
• Lead and mentor a team of product managers
• Partner with product marketing on launch strategy, sales plays and analyst/press narrative

Required profile

• 10+ years of product management experience in enterprise infrastructure, storage or AI/ML platforms, owning a multi-product portfolio
• Experience building and leading a product management team with strong cross-functional influence
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent; MBA a plus

Required skills

• Direct experience with AI infrastructure concepts (GPU/accelerator platforms, inferencing, RAG, model orchestration) and the storage/data layer behind them
• Working knowledge of distributed file systems and enterprise storage architecture (block, file, object)
• Track record of turning technical roadmap decisions into competitive positioning and field-ready messaging
• Executive presence in high-visibility settings such as customer briefings and partner councils
• Experience with NVIDIA or hyperscaler-adjacent certification programs a plus
