Intern - Facilities Sustainability AI

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is recruiting an intern for its Facilities department in Singapore (Bendemeer Road) to work on the AI-Powered Sustainability Command Center project. The intern will consolidate sustainability and utility datasets into a structured data model and build an interactive dashboard for monitoring energy, water, cost and carbon performance. High-performing interns may be considered for future full-time opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assess data sources, reporting workflows, stakeholder needs, data quality and access constraints
• Build a structured data model and repeatable data-processing workflow for electricity, water, utility, cost and emissions data
• Create an interactive Power BI dashboard showing indicators, exceptions, trends and performance
• Develop rule-based or AI-enabled methods for anomaly detection, insight generation and opportunity prioritization
• Build an opportunity tracker and automate selected reporting outputs
• Produce technical documentation, user instructions, a data dictionary, solution architecture and a final presentation

Required profile

• Pursuing a university degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Environmental, Data Science, Computer or Sustainability Engineering
• Ability to commit to a full-time five-month internship from January to May 2027
• Interest in energy management, water management, carbon accounting, facilities utilities or environmental sustainability

Required skills

• Familiarity with data analytics, data modelling, data visualization or reporting automation
• Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL, Power Platform or similar tools is advantageous
• Familiarity with AI, generative AI or AI-assisted analytics
• Preferred: knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, compressed air or electrical power systems, and ISO 50001
