Intern - STPG PE Business Operations

About the role

Micron's Storage Technology and Products Group Product Engineering Business Operations team is looking for an intern to join a project titled "Artificial Intelligence Data Harness for End-to-End Ramp Intelligence and Business Operations Planning". The project builds an AI-enabled data harness platform that integrates business-planning data and supports intelligent decision making for quarterly planning. The internship is based in Singapore and runs for six months.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of R&D budgeting, resource planning and business operations processes within the group.
• Design and build a prototype of an AI-enabled data harness that consolidates data from multiple business-planning sources.
• Create data structures, integration workflows and analytical views to improve visibility and traceability across the product lifecycle.
• Apply AI and analytics to use cases such as scenario modelling, planning accuracy, decision-making and resource optimisation.
• Document the methodology, findings, limitations and recommendations, and present the results.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Able to commit to a full-time six-month internship.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaborative skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, SQL and data analytics.
• Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, AI agents, RAG and prompt engineering.
• Data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of cloud AI or data platforms such as Azure AI, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks is advantageous.
