Intern - Youth Engagement and Programme Support

About the role

The People's Association (PA) internship gives practical exposure to youth engagement, partnership development, programme design and data-driven planning. Working with PA Youth Networks, youth organisations, schools and Institutes of Higher Learning, the intern contributes to mapping Singapore's youth landscape, strengthening partnerships, widening youth participation and improving the social impact of youth programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Map and profile the youth landscape by researching cause-based groups, civic groups, societies and other youth organisations, and identify areas of collaboration with PA Youth Networks.
• Profile the 95 Youth Networks, organising their programmes and focus areas around the three pillars of the FutureYOUth Movement to match them with partners and opportunities.
• Support youth transformation, including a community-focused badge programme with the Singapore Scout Association.
• Help develop youth volunteering pipelines through collaborative programmes with Youth Networks, ground-up youth groups, secondary schools and higher learning institutions.
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data on youth and sports participation and engagement, turning findings into recommendations.
• Support the review and rollout of youth funding policies.
• Support the rollout of the Youth & Sports drone programme with Youth Networks.
• Work with PA officers, Youth Networks and external stakeholders on programme planning, coordination and implementation.
