IT Infrastructure Engineer (AI & Automation Focus)

About the role

X-PHY is looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure Engineer in Singapore to manage and support the company's IT infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, cloud services, servers, end-user devices and AI-driven technology initiatives. The role ensures the reliability, security and efficiency of the IT environment while driving automation and AI adoption. It is an onsite position requiring valid work authorization in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize servers, storage, cloud platforms and network infrastructure; configure firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs and wireless networks
• Administer Windows and Linux systems, virtualization platforms and cloud services; monitor performance, availability and capacity
• Implement cybersecurity policies, respond to security incidents, run security assessments and audits, and support endpoint security, identity and access management and data protection
• Support end users with laptops, desktops, mobile devices and software; manage accounts, permissions, email and collaboration platforms; coordinate IT assets, procurement and vendor support
• Manage backups, verify them regularly, test recovery and support business continuity planning
• Evaluate and support AI tools, drive automation with AI, scripting and workflow tools, and guide departments in adopting AI solutions
• Deliver IT projects with vendors and stakeholders, coordinate upgrades and migrations, and maintain technical documentation and SOPs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network engineering or a related role
• Experience with servers, cloud platforms, network infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions
• Exposure to virtualization, cloud services, backup solutions and security technologies is preferred
• Strong interest and practical knowledge of AI tools and technologies; experience using AI-assisted tools for troubleshooting, documentation or automation is highly preferred
• Valid work authorization in Singapore; work pass sponsorship is not available
