IT Security Intern

About the role

Network For Electronic Transfers (S) is looking for a full-time IT Security Intern based in Braddell, available from January to June 2027. The intern assists in coordinating, tracking and following up on action items for business and information security projects and initiatives, and supports the preparation of documentation for steering committee meetings and program reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, track and follow up on action items for business and information security projects and initiatives.
• Support the development and maintenance of project plans, status reports and dashboards.
• Help prepare documentation for steering committee meetings and program reviews.
• Work with stakeholders to collect and consolidate updates on security projects and initiatives.
• Research emerging technologies such as quantum cryptography.
• Work with industry security consultants on security testing, code reviews and cloud standardization.
• Monitor and summarize updates to regulatory requirements (e.g. MAS TRM, CSA advisories) and assess their implications for ongoing programs.
• Support consolidation of security project proposals and resource needs for the next year's cybersecurity workplan.
• Help draft presentation materials, executive summaries and budget justifications for new initiatives.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Security or a related field.
• Strong interest in information security and eagerness to develop knowledge and practical experience.
• Availability to start the internship between January and June 2027, full time.
