About the role
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UNSW is seeking a Lecturer to join its teaching and research team. This fixed‑term appointment supports the School’s AEA program and runs until August 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in civil and structural engineering.
- Lead research projects focused on computational stochastic and uncertainty mechanics, structural engineering, and machine learning.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on AEA and ARC funded initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of the School’s research profile and curriculum.
Required profile
- PhD in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in computational stochastic/uncertainty mechanics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Australian working rights (no sponsorship available).

What we offer
- Salary Level B, Step 1 – AUD 127,947 per annum plus 17 % superannuation.
