Lecturer – Health Informatics

About the role

The School of Health & Social Sciences is seeking a Lecturer to design, deliver and assess health informatics and information communication technology (InfoComm) modules for both Pre‑Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) programmes. You will support students academically and pastorally while contributing to the school’s digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and teach engaging health informatics/InfoComm technology lessons for PET and CET learners.
• Create high‑quality teaching and assessment materials.
• Provide academic guidance, pastoral support and foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in student development activities, including overseas learning trips.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of application systems such as the student management system.
• Gather user requirements, identify needs and propose technology‑enabled solutions.
• Contribute to teaching‑and‑learning initiatives, committees, projects and cross‑functional collaborations.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare domain.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, innovative and trustworthy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
