Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Education Focused) Phase Coordinator – Albury

About the role

We are seeking a qualified medical practitioner to join our Rural Clinical Campus in Albury as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Education Focused) and Phase Coordinator. The role involves delivering high‑quality undergraduate medical education, overseeing a designated phase of the program, and fostering partnerships with local health services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum and teaching sessions for undergraduate medical students on the rural campus.
• Coordinate all aspects of the assigned phase, including student placements, assessment, and clinical supervision.
• Collaborate with Local Health Districts, Primary Health Networks and faculty colleagues to enhance rural medical training.
• Develop and implement rurally focused learning activities and support student research projects.
• Maintain academic standards, contribute to curriculum development and participate in relevant committees.

Required profile

• Medical degree (BMedMD, MBBS or equivalent) and Fellowship of a Specialist Medical College (e.g., ACEM, ACRRM, RACP, RACGP, RANZCOG, RACS).
• Current registration to practice medicine in New South Wales.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and rural medical education.
• Experience supervising clinical education programmes and conducting student assessments.
• For senior lecturer level, proven leadership in curriculum development and academic administration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with educational technologies and online delivery methods.

What we offer

• Academic Level B or C remuneration ($127 k‑$178 k pro rata) plus 17 % superannuation and clinical loading.
• Fixed‑term contract until 30 June 2027.
