Legal Counsel – Advertising, Marketing & Consumer Products (SEA)

About the role

Netflix is seeking an experienced legal counsel to join its Singapore team. The role will focus on B2B commercial agreements that support the company’s advertising, consumer products, and marketing/brand partnership initiatives across Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and execute a wide range of B2B commercial agreements for advertising, consumer products and brand partnerships in SEA.
• Provide comprehensive legal support to the advertising business, including agreements with agencies, advertisers, measurement partners and service providers.
• Advise advertising, consumer products and marketing teams on deal structures, risk allocation, rights, approvals and new ad products.
• Interpret SEA advertising regulations (consumer protection, fair labeling, promotions) and translate them into actionable business recommendations.
• Guide usage rights and approvals for Netflix’s intellectual property, including trademarks, logos, content clips and talent likeness.
• Collaborate with global and regional legal teams to align local transactions with broader policies while localising approaches for SEA markets.
• Support continuous improvement of contracting processes, templates and playbooks to enable efficient deal‑making.

Required profile

• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, either in‑house or at a leading law firm.
• Hands‑on experience with advertising, intellectual property licensing and brand/marketing partnership transactions, preferably in media, entertainment, technology or consumer‑facing industries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice in a fast‑paced environment.
