Legal Counsel – APAC

About the role

AEG International is seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to support its Asia‑Pacific operations. The role will involve handling a broad range of in‑house legal matters, from contract drafting to compliance, across live‑entertainment and sports venues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal services including contract review, drafting, negotiation and general advice for real‑estate development projects and live‑entertainment events.
• Design and deliver legal and compliance training to business teams.
• Review and improve legal processes, exploring legal‑technology tools.
• Support implementation of policies and initiatives to strengthen controls and procedures.
• Monitor legislative changes affecting the business and industry.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee data‑privacy and information‑security matters.
• Collaborate with regional teams in Singapore, China, Japan and Thailand.

Required profile

• LLB or JD from a reputable law school.
• 4‑7 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably a mix of law‑firm and in‑house practice.
• Strategic business partner mindset with high emotional intelligence.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in live‑entertainment is a plus but not mandatory.
