Legal Counsel – Prosecution

About the role

The Legal Counsel (Prosecution) will join the Land Transport Authority’s legal division, providing specialised legal services on land‑transport matters. You will prosecute statutory offences and support enforcement teams while navigating emerging transport technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Prosecute statutory offences under Acts such as the Road Traffic Act, Parking Places Act, Street Works Act, Active Mobility Act, Motor Vehicles (Third‑Party Risks and Compensation) Act and Electric Vehicle Charging Act.
• Provide legal advice and support to LTA’s enforcement and investigation divisions.
• Liaise with the Attorney‑General’s Chambers, State Courts and Singapore Police Force on prosecution matters.
• Stay forward‑thinking on the legal implications of new transport technologies, including autonomous and electric vehicles.
• Participate in training on advocacy, courtcraft, criminal procedure and evidence handling.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Law.
• Qualified Person under the Legal Profession Act or called to the Singapore Bar.
• Pro‑active, solution‑oriented and service‑focused mindset.
• Positive attitude, self‑motivated, eager to learn and work collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication, drafting and interpersonal skills.
