Legal Director – TMT

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Director to lead the TMT (Technology, Media & Telecom) legal function for a fast‑growing media platform operating across APAC. Reporting directly to the C‑suite, you will have full autonomy over commercial transactions and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with deal teams to manage new and ongoing commercial deal flow on a global scale.
• Lead negotiations, navigating complex commercial and regulatory landscapes.
• Provide real‑time legal advice to product, sales and marketing teams and contribute to long‑term strategy.
• Anticipate cross‑border and regulatory challenges, coordinating with in‑country counsel and external vendors.
• Ensure alignment of sales and marketing activities with platform objectives and local laws across Singapore and the broader Asian region.
• Collaborate on global products and projects that intersect with US and EMEA markets.

Required profile

• 12–20 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) with Tier 1 law firm credentials.
• Blend of law‑firm and in‑house experience, preferably within the TMT sector.
• Proven track record supporting product, sales and marketing functions.
• Strong ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds.
